- The Akha way is a way of life that follows a code of behavior set out by the village leader who gives everyone in Akha society their own role.
- The men farm crops and make weapons, baskets and musical instruments. The women do spinning, weaving and make clothing.
- The 'spirit gates' are doorways at the entrance and exit of Akha villages that are meant to welcome good spirits and keep out evil ones.
- The Akha people's lifestyle has changed because of the influence of Western culture. People wear modern clothes, have mobile phones and some have moved to modern cities.
