  1. The Akha way is a way of life that follows a code of behavior set out by the village leader who gives everyone in Akha society their own role.
  2. The men farm crops and make weapons, baskets and musical instruments. The women do spinning, weaving and make clothing.
  3. The 'spirit gates' are doorways at the entrance and exit of Akha villages that are meant to welcome good spirits and keep out evil ones.
  4. The Akha people's lifestyle has changed because of the influence of Western culture. People wear modern clothes, have mobile phones and some have moved to modern cities.
