In pairs listen to a girl talking about her name and identity. Student A writes answers to questions 1, 3 and 5, while student B writes answers to questions 2, 4 and 6. Then ask and answer questions in turns.

  1. The name Selina comes from ancient Greek and means "moon goddess." It's a beautiful and meaningful name!
  2. Selina's family background is Peruvian, but they moved to the UK when she was five years old. So she feels a strong connection to both Peru and England. She has dual nationality, Peruvian and British.
  3. Selina is named after her great-grandmother, who was a legend in their family. She shared the same passions as Selina, such as a love for horses and spending time outdoors.
  4. Selina and her great-grandmother have a lot in common. They both love horses and enjoy being in nature. It's wonderful to have those shared interests and feel a connection with family members.
  5. Selina's great-grandmother had a challenging life. She had no siblings, but she married three times and had ten children. She fought to keep the family together during difficult times and was known for her strong beliefs and dedication to family.
  6. Selina was born under the zodiac sign of Aries, which means she is confident, optimistic, honest, and passionate. However, like any sign, there are also some challenging traits. Aries can be impatient, moody, and aggressive at times. It's all part of her unique personality!
