  1. Tareq Hadhad is a young Syrian refugee who, along with his family, emigrated to Canada in 2015 after fleeing war-torn Syria and the bombing of their chocolate factory in Damascus.
  2. The main themes of the film are family loyalty, hard work, persistence, and hospitality.
  3. The director shot most scenes in Montreal with local actors and crew, and some exteriors in the small town of Antigonish in Nova Scotia, where the Hadhads now live.
  4. With the help of the community, the Hadhads were able to start their chocolate-making business again, producing tens of thousands of chocolates a day.
  5. In 2016, wildfires devastated a Canadian area, causing many families to leave their homes and lose everything.
  6. Tareq decided to launch a donation campaign to help those affected by the wildfires.
  7. His goals were to give back to society and to support multiculturalism, inclusion, and diversity through the Peace on Earth Society, an organization he founded to donate funds to peacebuilding projects around the world.
