  2. Answer the questions.
  3. Listen to the sentences. Which part of the sentence uses the higher intonation: the concession clause or the main clause? Listen again and repeat the intonation patterns.

In each case, the concession clause is the clause which is introduced by the phrase in italics. The other clause is the main clause.
