- 1) Mobile phones are important in emergenices, e.g students can use mobile phones to call for help if they are walking to or from school and feel they are in danger. ; 2) Mobile phones are convenient, e.g students can use their phones to let their parents know where they are or call for a ride after school activities. ; 3) The opposing viewpoint is that mobile phones distract students during school, e.g teachers say students spend time texting instead of paying attention in class and ringtones often interrupt situations. ; 4) Examples of formal style: "In the first place, mobile phones are very important in emergency situations." ; "In conclusion, even though mobile phones can cause problems in the classroom, I feel students should have them for reasons of safety and convenience".
