Answer

  • lose / miss → If you lose something, you cannot find it. If you arrive too late for something, e.g. bus, you miss it.
  • work / job Work is what you do to earn money. A job is the particular type of work that you do.
  • lend / borrow → If you lend something to someone, you give it to them so that they can use it for a short time. If you borrow something from someone, you take something that belongs to them, use it, and return it.
  • remember / remind → If you remember something, it comes back into your mind. If you remind someone to do something, you let them know they need to do it.
