Answer

  1. Technology has changed various aspects of everyday life, especially in terms of household objects and entertainment. Notable changes include the evolution of television, communication devices, and music-listening methods.
  2. The first TV sets, invented by the Scottish scientist John Logie Baird in 1925, used to be bulky and made of wood. They stood on four legs on the floor, typically placed in the corner of the living room opposite the sofa.
  3. The flat-screen smart TV is different because it offers a huge choice of TV channels and programs, including Internet-based shows. In contrast to the bulky and limited early TV sets, today's smart TVs provide a more versatile and high-quality viewing experience.
  4. Families used to place their rotary dial telephone either on a wall or on a piece of furniture that used to have a drawer containing two other disappearing household objects—the Yellow Pages and the phone book.
  5. Before television became popular, radio and music were the most popular forms of entertainment. Families used to sit together to listen to music, and vinyl records played on a gramophone were a common means of enjoying music.
  6. The invention of the wireless connection has replaced vinyl records. Nowadays, people can access the Internet and stream music on their smartphones or digital music players with services such as Spotify, marking a significant shift in how music is consumed.
