Question

Write an email from the president of Harvard University's secretary to a friend explaining what happened. Write about ten lines.

Answer

Hi Sal,

Guess what happened while I was working last week. So, picture this: a couple from the countryside shows up at my office, dressed in simple clothes, and without an appointment. My secretary was pretty surprised to see them waiting patiently for hours.

And guess what? When I finally made my grand entrance, I greeted them with a casual "What can I do for ya?" Little did I know, they had an incredible idea in mind. They wanted to give a whole building as a memorial for their late son, who had attended Harvard.

But here's the kicker - I laughed! I thought they were asking for a statue instead. Boy, was I wrong! The couple didn't let my initial reaction discourage them. They went on to establish Stanford University as a beautiful tribute to their son.

The moral of the story? Don't judge a book by its cover, my friend! You never know what amazing things can come from unexpected places.

Take care,
