James knew he had to flee, his instincts kicking into overdrive as he sprinted through the labyrinthine maze of urban alleys and thoroughfares. The details were still a blur—a cacophony of shouts, the pounding of his own footsteps, the flickering of distant streetlights—but one thing was clear: he had stumbled upon something he was never meant to see, something dangerous enough to send him careening through the streets in a desperate bid for escape. And now, as he sat in the relative safety of the taxi, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was in far deeper trouble than he had ever imagined.
