- Look at the photos of six famous tourist attractions and read the captions. Do you know where they are? Do you know anything else about them?

- Read the article again. What was disappointing about each place? Did anyone say anything positive?

- Read some more comments from disappointed tourists and complete them with the places or things in the photos.

- It was just big stones.
- It was empty and soulless; there was no white sand, but had tacky hotels.
- There were long queues to get in and go up. You can't see the iconic building because you're on it.
- It was not remote, but near the shore, run-down, and local people don't want tourists there.
- It is a long way from the city centre, surrounded by tourists, small, and unimpressive.
- It is very boring - just flat, with trees on the top of the mountain.
The only positive comment is about Machu Picchu: breathtaking location, beautiful hill behind.
