- Siberian tiger: Lives in Asia / the Russian Far East. There are just under 400. Russian civil war almost wiped them out. There has been heavy poaching of them.
- Iberian imperial eagle: Lives in central and south-west Spain. There are just under 300. Loss of habitat, human encroachment and illegal poisoning are killing them.
- mountain gorilla: Lives in Africa. There are just under 900. Poaching, habitat loss and disease are killing them.
- giant panda: Lives in China. There are 2,000-3,000. Habitat loss and low birthrate are killing them.
- hammerhead shark: Lives in warm tropical waters. Exact number unknown. Fishing is killing them.
