Old boys' club

• problems → difficult to keep in touch without meeting regularly, you rely on other people to run the club, and sometimes you don't hear anything for a year or two

Ballroom-dancing club

• number and type of people in the club → 30, mostly older, retired people
• how long she has been a member → six months
• when and where it meets → once a week, sometimes in a school hall
• problems → they meet in the evenings after work and it can be quite hard to get yourself out of the house again
• things they have learned → waltz, foxtrot, Latin dances like the jive and the tango
