- We use a few with countable, plural nouns, and a little with uncountable nouns that have a singular form (i.e. they have no s).
- A few suggests ‘some’ (more or positive), whereas few with no ‘a’ means almost none (less or negative).
- We use much with uncountable nouns and many with countable, plural nouns.
- We use no before a noun. We use not before a verb or with another quantifier (not much, not many, not any).
