- where the speech was given; who the dispute is between; what the breakthrough entails; what else needs to be done to reach an agreement and long-term peace; possible threats to the process

- what the rally was for; who held it and where; what caused the disturbance; how the police responded; any arrests or injuries; response from police and demonstrators or union (blaming each other?)

- why the teachers’ pay is being cut and by how much; why they have decided not to strike; what their employers or the government have said
