There was a thirsty crow who found a water pot and naturally wanted to drink from it, but the water was at the bottom of the pot and the crow couldn’t reach it. At first, he just stared at the pot dejectedly, trying to think of what to do. Finally, he thought of a clever plan: he would drop small stones in to the pot one by one. Eventually the water rose to the top and the crow could drink it.

And the moral of the story is 'Necessity is the mother of invention'.
