Work in pairs. Discuss. Do you ever have problems trying to communicate with people who can’t speak your language? Where? What happens? What can you do to help make yourself understood in situations like this?
Answer
If you can't speak the language, you can use a dictionary / a phrase book, draw a picture of the object you want or mime an action to illustrate it, e.g. brush your teeth to show toothpaste / toothbrush.
