Read the pairs of sentences. Do they have similar or opposite meanings? What do the phrases in bold mean?

- crave and hanker(ed) after mean you have an extremely strong desire for something
- be in the spotlight and be the centre of attention mean receive a lot of attention, e.g. on TV
- serve an apprenticeship and pay your dues mean you spend a lot of time learning how to do something well - observing others, practising, etc.
