Question
- Read the text. What is so special about Otto the car?
- Read the sentences. What do you notice about the word order? Rewrite the sentences beginning with if.
- Choose the correct alternative to complete the rule. Then find another example of inversion in a conditional clause in the text.
- Look at sentences 1-4. Notice how inversion is also used after negative adverbials to add dramatic effect. Find two examples in the text in Exercise 6A.
