- A: What did you do yesterday? B: Well, we woke up and the sun was shining and the birds were singing so we decided to go for a walk.
- A: Last night, I called Steve on the phone and then I went round to his house, but he wasn't there. B: That's because he started his night shift yesterday.
- A: Why didn't you tell me my phone was ringing? B: You were sleeping so soundly that I didn't want to wake you up.
