Read the blog post again and underline the topic sentences in each paragraph. The first one is underlined for you.

If you take a year out and go somewhere on your own, you quickly learn how to look after yourself. Travelling around the word or volunteering abroad will mean that you meet new people from different places. 'How can a gap year improve my CV?' you might ask. A gap year normally means going abroad and learning a language.
