Work in pairs and look at the photos. How was life in the 1960s different to life today? How was it the same?

Answer

  1. Families don't always watch TV together - we watch it on our mobile phones, etc. There are lots of TV channels now.
  2. Teenagers sometimes ride motorbikes and scooters but not many of them.
  3. Young people today go to cafes so this is the same.
  4. Most young people like listening to music so this is the same. Some people listen to records but most people listen to music online or via MP3. We don't always have to pay for it.
  5. people don't often dance with a partner these days and don't go dancing in their lunch hour.
