Question
Read the Focus box and listen to the linking in the examples. When do we link words together?
Answer
We usually link words together when one ends with a consonant sound and the next starts with a vowel sound. We don't usually pronounce the /t/ sound at the end of a word but we do when the next words starts with a vowel sound.
