- Passive verbs → was discovered, is repeated, are left, be replaced, is called, was awarded Active verbs → discovered, leaves, repeat, replace, call, awarded
- verb be + past participle form
- In 1 and 3 we know because it is stated after by (1 two Russian scientists, 3 Graphene). In the other sentences we don’t know who does the action.
