Answer

  • email: easy and convenient (you can write at any time of the day or night); it can be impersonal
  • phone: more personal, you can have a proper two-way conversation and respond to the other person’s mood and situation, but it can be difficult to find a time to ring that is convenient for you and the other person
  • Facebook (or similar): a good way to share photos and news with people, you can respond quickly with a short comment, you can keep in touch and see what your friends are doing; it can be very public and you need to be careful what you say
  • WhatsApp (or similar): it’s easy to share photos, videos, etc. but you have to give your phone number, so it is not very secure.
