  1. It’s trying to get a picture of the urban atmosphere.
  2. Local people collect the information by walking around their community. They wear a backpack with a sensor which takes in lots of small air samples and analyses them.
  3. We might have detailed maps to show air quality. These might be used to help people make choices, e.g. when buying a house or choosing a day-care centre.
