Decide which of the following things are important for each speaker (1-3) when planning their holiday. There is one you do not need. Then listen again and check your ideas.

Speaker 1:

  • a (A five-star hotel is important.)
  • c (They go away to escape the heat, and like the  cooler, damper weather.)
  • f (He likes the mountains and beautiful countryside, though this is not the main reason for going.)
  • i (They’ll probably do some off-road driving.)

Speaker 2:

  • d (He talks about visiting ancient ruins in Morocco.)

Speaker 3:

  • b (She wants to go and see some shows.)
  • d  (They might visit the Tower and the British Museum.)
