- cause (one thing causes people to do or be another thing)
- make (you make people do things)
- caused (a problem is caused by something)
- makes (one thing makes it hard (or easy!) to do something else.) Students may want to use means here, but then the form would be: Watching TV late at night means it is difficult to get to sleep.
