  • A ‘body-positive activist’ promotes the idea that everybody should feel positive about their body shape and not feel they should be trying to achieve an ideal shape.
  • The message of the Campaign for Real Beauty (according to Dove) is to celebrate the natural physical variation embodied by all women and inspire them to have the confidence to be comfortable with themselves. Cynics would say it is a way of marketing their own products, and linking their company with the ‘body-positive’ movement.
