- I wish I didn’t have to study so much. If I didn’t have to study so much, I could meet my friends.
- I wish I hadn’t broken my toe. If I hadn’t broken my toe, I could play football.
- I wish I didn’t have a fear of water. If I didn’t have a fear of water I would take up swimming.
- I wish I wasn’t / weren’t allergic to dogs. If I wasn’t / weren’t allergic to dogs, I would get one.
- I wish I could join the gym. If it wasn’t so expensive, I would join the gym.
- I wish the bus had come on time. If the bus had come on time, I wouldn’t have been late for work.
- I wish my brother didn’t invite friends over all the time. If he didn’t invite friends over all the time, I would be able to concentrate on my studies.
- I wish I could have a pet. If my parents would let me have one in the flat, I could have one.
