The scariest experience of my life
It was 6 pm when I set out with my friends, Bob and Alan, to go trick-or-treating. It was dark and the wind was blowing, but I felt excited.
When we reached the first house, we couldn’t wait to get some sweets. Alan rang the bell, but no one answered. Then, suddenly the door blew open with the wind. We were all scared and Bob ran away screaming! Alan and I were frozen with fear. After a minute, we calmed down and decided to go inside.
Then when we entered, we got an even bigger shock! A black cat jumped up and started scratching Alan's face! We both yelled in horror, ran out of the house and straight home!
Later, when we talked about our experience with my dad, he told us about old Mr Fredericks who used to live in that house a hundred years ago. He was a very scary man who hated people walking on his property. He had a black cat that always attacked intruders. Alan and I shivered with fear!
