Question

Read the rubric, then write your report (120-180 words).

Answer

Introduction

The purpose of this report is to suggest ways in which CCTV can be useful in fighting crime.

Homes

It would be a good idea to set up CCTV in homes in areas that are prone to burglaries. By doing this, burglars will be caught on camera and can be prosecuted easily and the stolen items can be recovered quickly.

Shops

A further consideration would be to set up CCTV in shops. Shoplifters and thieves will be deterred from committing a crime. This way customers and staff will be safer.

Public Spaces

One possibility is to install CCTV cameras on the streets, in parks and in other public places. As a result, muggings, car theft and other street crime would be prevented or reduced and criminals would be identified and arrested quickly.

Conclusion

All in all, there are a number of ways in which CCTV can be useful in fighting crime. I believe that if the above suggestions are adopted, crime will be vastly decreased.
