Dear Carrie,
I hope everything is OK. I just wanted to drop you a line about life in New York. My course is going well and my teacher, Mr Kennedy is wonderful.
Mr Kennedy is very tall and athletic. He's got short brown hair and brown eyes. He's got a dark complexion and a beautiful smile. He's always smartly-dressed in a shirt and black trousers.
Mr Kennedy is very kind. He never shouts. He's caring, too, and always tries to help us when we're having problems. Sometimes he can be a bit too quiet though.
I think he's a great teacher. We're really lucky to have him. Must go now. Write soon.
