  • A: Emergency services. Which service do you require?
  • B: The police. I'd like to report a break-in.
  • A: This is the police. Please state the nature of the emergency.
  • B: Yes, I'd like to report a break-in. I've just seen two masked men entering my neighbour's home and I know they're on holiday.
  • A: Please state your name and address clearly and the address of the crime.
  • B: Yes, my name is George Gregson and I live at 5, Brook Street. The address for the burglary is 3, Brook Street.
  • A: Mr Gregson. I want you to remain in your house. The police are on the way. They will be there very shortly.
  • B: OK. Please hurry!
