Question
What did you learn from the lecture about rainforests? What are the consequences of rainforests disappearing? How can you help to save them? Write a few sentences. Tell your partner.
Answer
I learnt that rainforests produce 20% of the world’s oxygen supply. Rainforests are home to half of the planet's plant and animal species, too. I also learnt that many modern drugs come from the rainforests. However, only half of the rainforests exist today. I can help to save the rainforests by not waisting paper, recycling newspapers and magazines, and not buying wooden furniture.
