  • Some people believe that fashion is a waste of money.
  • In the first place, I think that most people would agree that designers are wonderfully creative and that fashion can even be an art form.
  • Secondly, it is well know that people have been interested in fashion for hundreds of years, perhaps even longer.
  • Finally, fashion can be good for the economy.
  • To conclude, I do not believe that fashion can be said to be a waste of money when there are so many clear benefits.

b)

  • However, I would like to argue that there are many positive aspects to fashion.
  • Designers such as Chanel or Versace are still famous long after their deaths for their beautiful designs.
  • It is natural for people to want to dress up and look their best.
  • Italy's fashion industry, for example, is worth more than 60 billion euros a year.
