Work with a partner. Look at photos 1-4. What do you think are the good and bad things about each kind of transport? Use the ideas in the box to help you.
Answer
- Photo 1 (motorbike taxi) could be dangerous because you could fall off. It could be uncomfortable because the seat isn’t very big. It could be wet or cold in bad weather. It could be quick in heavy traffic.
- Photo 2 (taxi) could be comfortable and safe, giving protection from the weather and the street. It could be expensive. It could be quick in light traffic, but slow in heavy traffic.
- Photo 3 (cyclo) looks quite comfortable. It could be cold or wet in bad weather. I think it is a quick way to travel short distances.
- Photo 4 (pedestrians) is the healthy way to travel. It is free, but slow unless the journey is short or the traffic is bad. It is quite safe.
