Question

Watch the whole video and write down the difficulties Carolyne had to face during her trip. Consider food, walking uphill and personal hygiene.

Answer

  • Altitude sickness: Carolyne experienced difficulty breathing while walking uphill due to altitude sickness. This caused her to feel as though she couldn't continue and she had to take a break, riding a horse for a while until she could catch her breath.
  • Food preferences: Carolyne struggled with the abundance of fruit being served, as she doesn't like fruit. However, this wasn't a significant difficulty compared to others she faced.
  • Lack of personal hygiene facilities: During the eight days on the mountain, Carolyne missed having showers and proper toilets, as they only had access to natural surroundings for toileting.
