Question

In pairs discuss what you would do in the following situations.

Answer

Nosebleed

  • What I would do: Tilt my head slightly forward, pinch my nostrils together, and breathe through my mouth. I would apply pressure for about 10 minutes and avoid leaning back.
  • What I wouldn't do: Tilt my head back, as this may cause blood to flow down the throat. I also wouldn't stuff tissues or cotton into my nostrils, as it can cause further irritation.

Someone fainted

  • What I would do: Check for responsiveness and call for medical help. If the person is breathing, I would place them in a recovery position. If not, I would start CPR.
  • What I wouldn't do: Try to force the person to stand up immediately. I wouldn't ignore the situation or assume the person will be fine without seeking medical attention.

If I had a million euros

  • What I would do: Prioritize financial responsibility by paying off debts, investing for the future, and setting up an emergency fund. I might also donate to charities and causes I believe in.
  • What I wouldn't do: Spend recklessly without a plan. I wouldn't share my financial situation with everyone or make impulsive decisions.

Only eat one food for the rest of my life

  • What I would choose: It's a tough choice, but I might go for a versatile and nutritious option like a salad with various vegetables, proteins, and dressings.
  • What I wouldn't choose: Anything too limited or lacking essential nutrients. Variety is important for a balanced diet.

President of my country

  • What I would do: Focus on policies that address pressing issues such as healthcare, education, and the environment. I would strive for inclusivity, transparency, and collaboration.
  • What I wouldn't do: Make decisions without consulting experts or disregard the needs and concerns of the diverse population. I wouldn't engage in divisive or harmful rhetoric.
