  1. The Japanese wear kimonos nowadays on special occasions like weddings.
  2. In the past, the Inuit wore fur-hooded coats called parkas and used waterproof sealskin for their boots and shoes. Nowadays, they continue to wear the parka and use sealskin for their footwear.
  3. Chinese men wore the Chinese tunic suit, also known as the Mao suit, during the Republic of China (1912-49).
  4. A sari is a traditional Indian garment worn by women. It is a long piece of cloth, usually colorful, draped around the body.
  5. Kilts are traditional Scottish garments that originated in the 16th century. They are pieces of woollen material with stripes of different colors according to the wearer's family of origin.
  6. Traditional African costumes vary, but tunics and loose trousers are popular clothing for men, while women often wear toga-inspired clothes wrapped around their bodies.
  7. The Maasai prefer red fabrics and beaded jewelry, especially as nomads living in Kenya. They traditionally wear brilliant red cloth and long, ochre-dyed hair as a form of camouflage with the landscape. Many still dress like that.
