Question

Write down the conversation between Ellie and Nick. Use weather idioms for the phrases in bold.

Answer

Ellie: Hi Nick, how's it going?

Nick: Not great, Ellie. I had an argument with a friend, so I'm feeling under the weather.

Ellie: I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you'll be feeling sunny side up soon. By the way, would you like to help me and the club organize an event?

Nick: What's it about?

Ellie: We're putting together a used book sale. If the weather holds up, we're planning to have it tomorrow near the cathedral.

Nick: Well, the weather forecast isn't looking too good. It'll be cloudy in the morning, and there's a chance of rain by noon.

Ellie: Oh no, if it rains, it'll be a real washout. We won't sell many books.

Nick: I have an idea. If we hold the event near the river, we can use the gazebos that are already there. People won't get wet, and they'll still buy books.

Ellie: That's a brilliant idea! Now I'm feeling on cloud nine!
