Question

Look at the pictures and read the headings. Do you know how you play these sports and what equipments you need?

Answer

  1. In cricket, two teams take turns batting and bowling. Batsmen score runs by hitting the ball and running between wickets while the bowling team aims to dismiss batsmen and prevent runs. The team with the most runs at the end of the game wins. Equipment: Bat, ball, stumps, gloves, pads, helmet, cricket shoes, and protective gear.
  2. Squash is played in an enclosed court with two players hitting a small rubber ball against the walls. Players take turns hitting the ball, aiming to outmaneuver their opponent and win points by making it difficult for them to return the ball properly. Equipments: Squash racket, squash ball, non-marking indoor court shoes, protective eyewear (recommended), and appropriate attire.
  3. Rugby is a physical team sport where two teams aim to score points by carrying, passing, or kicking the ball into the opposing team's goal area or between goalposts. Equipment: Rugby ball, rugby boots, mouthguard, headgear (optional), shoulder pads (optional), and appropriate attire (jersey, shorts, socks).
