Look at the two photos showing the same part of Shanghai 20 years ago and now, then read 'It's a fact!'. Work in pairs and answer the questions.

- Shanghai is in China.
- The population has grown since the 1990s, when the city was redeveloped on a massive scale.
- This attracted foreign investment and large numbers of migrant workers.
- Life expectancy also increased significantly.
- The main difference is that there were fewer / no tall buildings.
